Information About the Flat and Area
We’ve had the flat for six years and love both it and the local area. The house is rumored to be Lord Kitchener’s summer house and it’s next door to the house H G Wells built and lived in for ten years.

We’d welcome a review if you enjoyed your stay on Google Business.
Sandgate is a lovely little seaside village with independent cafes, gift and antique shops and restaurants. Nearby Folkestone and Hythe offer even more choice.
Folkestone has a thriving Creative Quarter and a recently renovated Harbour Arm. The Old High Street is full of independent shops and cafés. Hythe offers a quieter pace of life with lovely canal walks, a steam railway and a range of charity, antique and craft shops.
Sandgate is also a good base for trips to London, Dover, Canterbury, Rye, Romney Marsh, Rochester, Margate and all places in Kent. France is visible on a clear day and another good day trip by ferry or shuttle.
There is no shortage of things to do; some wonderful walks, cycle rides, fun play areas for children and a wide range of things to do in the evening. Explore them here.
We also have another property in Hythe which we’ve spent 18 months renovating. It too is available for holidays: www.kitscottage.uk.
